Wholesale hair barrettes

The barrette, also known as hair clips, or hair-slides, is traditionally an oval or rectangular bar with a hair clip fastener which traps the hair.  They are usually worn on the back of the head, sometimes forming a pony tail. The automatic clip is opened by pinching two levers together which releases the sprung hair slide, then they just simply click shut once positioned in the hair.Whilst the larger sized barrettes are usually worn in the back of the hair, smaller barrettes are frequently worn in pairs, sometimes on both sides of the head. Originally barrettes were oval or rectangular shaped material, often leather, and held in place with a wooden pin which was pushed through two holes in the barrette. These do still come into fashion from time to time and are often made using leather, sometimes with ornate designs. At the moment we find this type of old fashioned pin barrette to be virtually unsalable so you won't find any in the current wholesale hair accessory range.  Basic black and tortoise shell are always the best sellers for basic barrette clips however the gold and silver slides are also popular, particularly amongst the Asian market. Animal prints are another favourite and sell well during the autumn, winter season. Gemstone and diamante styles also add sparkle and glamour to any party outfit.
